Friday morning hike & search for the old remains of the Clanton Ranch
Meet in the Adobe Lodge Motel parking lot at 9:30 a.m. sharp. We will caravan (approx. 10 miles) down old Charleston road (to the railroad tracks) where we will park the automoblies in the parking lot. From here we'll hike down the railroad tracks to the east in search of the old remains of the ranch. This will be quite a hike (a couple of miles at least) so where your tennis shoes or hiking boots. Will be returning to Tombstone in the afternoon.

WE FOUND THE OLD CLANTON RANCH!


Look under the tree and you'll see the last remains of the corrals at the old Clanton Ranch. This was the first thing we saw when we walked up to the location.

Only six of us made it to the location, yes if you haven't heard already this hike was an endurance test for sure!!

The corral above is located down the hill in the trees behind where these fine folks are standing. To the left, you can see the last remaining adobe wall of the old Clanton Ranch.

The old wagon trail still remains. This is looking east from the old Clanton Ranch location. This house was built on a slight hill giving the Clantons a wide view of anybody approaching.

a few years back. What a shame, somebody besides mother nature
is destroying the last remaining walls of the old Clanton Ranch.
