About the Clanton's...
Traveling by horseback and herding cattle in southern Arizona in the late 1870's was one of the most dangerous occupations around.  Cowboy's and Apache Indians would kill each other on site.  To keep beef coming to market in this extremely dangerous territory, Newman Haynes "Old Man" Clanton had to hire some the roughest, toughest, most feared men around  to run cattle for him.  Clanton's men were simply called "the cowboy's" .  On October 26, 1881 in Tombstone Arizona, the Clanton family forever became famous for being involved in the West's most famous gunfight... the gunfight at OK Corral, against the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday.

Today, over 120 years later... this legendary group of notorious characters is not only alive and well, they are over 1,400 members strong!   They are a sociable organization dedicated to preserving the history of the most famous gang of cowboys in the west and the town of Tombstone.

Same legend, different horses!
"Unfortunately the days of riding across the U.S. on horseback are over, so now we ride iron horses!" says Ike Clanton, a fourth generation cousin who leads the legendary group today.  In 2004 , Ike founded Boot Hill Choppers "Haunted Products & Apparel"  to combine his notorious family heritage with his wild life on two wheels.  "It's cool, cowboys and bikers from all over are showing their support" says Clanton.

Annual Clanton Day's Rendezvous...
Every November for the past 11 years,  Ike has hosted "Clanton Day's Tombstone Rendezvous" a special Tombstone event that combines fun and excitement with true American history. We hope you will plan to join us next November, everyone is welcome!

We appreciate your support...
In 1996, Ike and a group of historians searched and successfully found Joseph "Ike" Clanton's long lost grave in a remote location in Arizona, read the complete story here. In short, we are planning to hopefully bring Ike Clanton's remains back to Tombstone to be buried where he belongs, have the 1880 style funeral he never had, and of course recognize everyone who has helped us out with their support!

Please note, your email address will NOT be shared with anyone and you can take yourself off this list at anytime.
